Bala Rural Life

Set in idyllic North Wales, the Bala Centre celebrates rural life in all its different aspects. To engage its youngest visitors with the countryside, Beeston Jones created a colourful playground set within a landscaped environment.

Commissioned by Safle and funded by the Arts Council, the design incorporates a landscaped hill with a tunnel and slide, a knitting needle-inspired climbing feature, and an interactive percussion instrument created from recycled farmyard materials.

The result is a bold and fun introduction to the Bala ethos.
